Job Description /n Job Description /n Provides support to the physician performing invasive cardiovascular procedures such as Coronary Angiograms, Angioplasty and Stents. Integrates well with Physicians and Nurses and has responsibility for Emergency Call. /n Job Responsibility /n /n 1. Performs a variety of duties to prepare unit for cardiovascular procedures./n /n - Prepares sterile field for invasive procedures. /n /n /n /n - Ensures all instrumentation/equipment for each procedure is presented on the table in the established fashion. /n /n /n 1. Prepares patient for invasive procedures. /n /n - Enters patient, procedure and equipment into computer system. /n /n /n /n - Ensures patients are correctly prepped and draped in a sterile fashion. /n - Responds to patient’s questions alleviating concerns regarding procedure. /n /n /n 1. Performs various duties during procedure./n /n - Monitors patient hemodynamic status during procedure, including electrocardiogram, Blood pressure, chest pain. /n /n /n /n - Collects all pertinent data and all necessary calculations for physician’s interpretation of results. /n - Balances, calibrates and records appropriate hemodynamic data. /n /n /n 1. Intervenes in cardiopulmonary emergencies. /n 2. Operates equipment properly in a reliable manner, per departmental standards, complying with all safety guidelines/policies. /n 3. Retrieves and provides Physician’s equipment required for procedure using aseptic technique and ensuring maintenance of the sterile field. /n 4. Performs related duties, as required. /n /n Job Qualification /n /n - New York State Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist required and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registered Technologist (R.T.) /n /n OR /n /n - Graduate of Cardiorespiratory Science Program Required. /n - Certified Basic Life Support (BLS), required. Certified Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), preferred. /n - Knowledge of EKG rhythm interpretation and hemodynamic pressure, preferred. /n - Two years of cardiac catheterization experience or interventional neurology, or interventional radiology required. /n /n On-call, weekends and holidays. /n 12.25 hour shifts (6:30a-7:15p); training shifts will be 10-hour shifts (4 days/week) which will conclude on or about March 2026. /n Ability to travel to Peconic Bay Medical Center within 30 mins, highly preferred. /n *Additional Salary Detail The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).
