School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1
years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A school
psychologist is needed for a contract position in New Britain, CT,
to support students academic, social, and emotional development
within a school setting. This role involves collaborating with
educators, families, and administrators to create positive learning
environments and provide interventions tailored to individual
student needs. Key responsibilities include conducting
comprehensive psychological assessments, developing individualized
education plans (IEPs), and offering counseling services. The
school psychologist will evaluate and address learning
difficulties, behavioral challenges, and mental health concerns,
ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
Effective communication and teamwork with multidisciplinary staff
are essential to foster student success. Qualifications and desired
experience: Masters or specialist degree in school psychology or a
related field Certification or licensure appropriate for practicing
as a school psychologist in Connecticut Experience conducting
psychological evaluations and administering standardized
assessments Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and
best practices Ability to develop and implement evidence-based
interventions and supports Strong interpersonal and communication
skills for collaborating with students, families, and school
personnel Commitment to promoting inclusive and supportive
educational environments This contract position is based in New
