MOO set out to shake up the world of print back in 2006. And we've come a long way since. Today we're a 400 + strong team (we're thinking of getting matching jackets) who create print and digital products for companies of all sizes - from Google and AirBnB to the guy who makes those amazing prints you found at a craft fair.

Our global HQ is in London, UK, while we also have premises in Dagenham. In the US, you'll find us in Boston, MA and Denver, CO.

MOOs diverse manufacturing team is composed of quality and process engineers, prepress specialists, manufacturing leads, technology engineers, and supply chain specialists. We span two geographies (US and UK) and are responsible for the delivery of premium print and hard good products to our customers. We're looking for a Quality Engineer to join our team.

Here at MOO, we're always looking to improve our processes, reduce our variation and strive for first time right. We use data to drive decision we make, ensure our customers get premium products and drive sustainability for our world. In this role, you'll be working collaboratively with operations, engineering, supply chain and maintenance to develop quality processes which enable us to efficiently produce premium products the first time and every time.

This is an exciting opportunity in our East Providence, Rhode Island facility. We're looking for an energetic problem solver who is comfortable working independently and collaboratively across functions to advance MOO's manufacturing and production platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, execute and evaluate trials for material qualifications and to understand sources of variation in our processes.
  • Support Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), First Article Inspection Report (FAIR) review and approval, maintenance of standards, production quality, and material review board
  • Utilize Supplier Corrective Action Report (SCAR) and internal Corrective Action Request (CAR) processes as required.
  • Lead FMEA actions on key development projects.
  • Develop and implement overall quality processes in the plant
  • Lead Engineering Change Control and deviation reviews and approvals.
  • Develop cross-functional control plans to support first time quality
  • Create and/or manage work instructions and documentation.
  • Apply standard work and quality processes to get processes in statistical control.
  • Other responsibilities and duties as assigned. About You:
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant field plus 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment within a Quality Department or five years quality engineer experience in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Ability to successfully engage and manage supplier quality processes.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of quality management systems, quality tools and production processes
    • Ability to collect and statistically analyze data to determine root cause of variation and solve problems with a systematic approach.
    • Use of precision measurement tools to perform dimensional checks/test/evaluate NCM.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Experience with the production floor application of statistical process control methods.
    • Understand process and implementation of new product introduction into a manufacturing environment Nice To Haves:
      • Certified Quality Engineer, Six Sigma Green Belt, or Shainin certification preferred
      • Proficient in Minitab or equivalent statistical software
      • Ability to build strong relationships and influence without direct authority
      • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and drawings with an understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
      • Familiar with ASTM or equivalent industry standards
