Our expertise is the design and manufacture of communications-based specialty products - engineered components and subsystems - for demanding military, space, commercial aerospace/industrial, and telecom infrastructure applications where function and reliability are crucial. The RF Applications Engineer Facilitate the design-in of Pole/Zero solutions into customers' systems. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES: Define new products that meet the needs of our customers Translate system requirements to component specifications and vice versa Perform circuit design and analysis using RF and EM modeling tools Provide technical, quotation, and advocacy support to customers Provide technical input to the product roadmap(s) Assist in the integration and test process for current customers to ensure their success Travel to customer sites to support Design Engineers, Test Engineers, Product Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers Author application notes, white papers, training material, marketing brochures and datasheet applications Responsible for increasing annual bookings, diversification of customer base, and providing customer support and satisfaction for MPG products Interfaces with outside commissioned regional sales representatives Interfaces with Engineering and Program Management personnel in preparation of technical and price proposals Supports general marketing activities such as trade-shows, catalog updates, marketing communications material, presentations, etc. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Thorough understanding of customer needs as well as the capabilities, specifications, and performance characteristics of Pole/Zero products. Strong written, verbal, and listening skills Strong RF and communications technical background Ability to create excellent long-term customer relationships Ability to generate profitable sales growth Strong desire to solve other people's problems QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The education and/or experience listed below represents the knowledge, skill or ability required. Education and/or Experience: Must be a US Person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident) Minimum of a BSEE from an accredited four-year college or university required Minimum 5 years of design experience in the RF and microwave electronics industry required; defense industry preferred Experience using RF and EM simulation tools (ADS, Microwave Office, HFSS, etc.) Experience using RF and microwave bench test equipment to measure S-parameters, noise figure, & IP3 Military service in communications or EW areas is a plus Minimum ability to travel 25% of the time, though travel will vary WORK SCHEDULES: Normal workdays are Monday through Friday, 8 hour days or 9 day (9 hours) / 80 hour alternate schedule with every other Friday off Lunch period is 1 hour per day, unpaid Domestic and international travel is required (25%) All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, disability, age, genetic information, or any other factors prohibited by law.
