years of Emergency Nursing experience License: Current RN license
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC (preferred) Must-Have:
General ED nursing skills, including but not limited to assessment,
documentation, IV, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point of
care testing, splinting, critical thinking, and patient education.
Description: Emergency Department RN position available. The unit
features a pod-based design with a separate pediatric pod and an
acute mental health area. The clinician to patient ratio is 1:4.
Patient population includes all ages and conditions. The department
has a bed count of 65 and sees approximately 230 visits per day.
The electronic medical record system utilized is EPIC ASAP.
Floating to other units may be required. Rotating shifts are
required for day rotation (7a-7p, 11a-11p, and 7p-7a) as needed.
Frequency of rotation is low. Night positions do not rotate.
Additional certifications may include TNCC, which is strongly
preferred. Current certifications required are BLS, PALS, ACLS, and
TNCC.
