Roles & Responsibilities Provide direct, high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse rural patient population Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust the nursing care process to ensure optimal results Collaborate closely with physicians and other clinical team members to coordinate patient management Triage, prioritize, and manage multiple patients in a fast-paced, nine-bed emergency department Document care accurately and efficiently using Meditech (or learn it quickly if new to the system) Act proactively under pressure and contribute as a dependable team member during high-volume periods Qualifications Current VT RN license OR a compact multi-state RN license (required) Minimum 3 years of Emergency Room RN experience (required) BLS and ACLS certifications (required) TNCC preferred (nice-to-have) Familiarity with Meditech or the ability to learn charting quickly Ability to complete and upload credentialing documents no later than five business days before your start date Knowledge & Skills Strong emergency nursing skills and comfort with direct patient care in a busy ED Solid understanding of the nursing care process and outcome evaluation Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize care effectively Excellent teamwork, communication, and clinical decision-making Clinical competence across a range of ED presentations common to rural critical access hospitals Basic computer/charting skills with Meditech or similar EHR systems Benefits Comfortable travel assignment perks like housing support and travel reimbursement to help you settle in quickly Supportive team environment where your skills and voice are valued Help with licensure and credentialing processes so you can focus on patients, not paperwork Opportunities to sharpen your emergency nursing skills in a high-acuity rural ED Work-life balance with a predictable 3x12 night schedule — more full days off to explore the area Professional development and the chance to work with Meditech to expand your charting toolbox Paid time to complete credentialing tasks prior to start so your transition is smooth A collaborative culture that celebrates teamwork and patient-centered care Travel Perks: Explore St Johnsbury, VT Nestled in Vermont’s scenic Northeast Kingdom, St. Johnsbury is your gateway to four-season outdoor fun.
