Job Description:
Hebrew SeniorLife, a renowned nonprofit organization in Boston,
MA, affiliated with Harvard Medical School, seeks a dedicated
Clinical Dietitian to join our healthcare team. This role focuses
on enhancing the dietary and nutritional services provided to our
senior residents. Our ideal candidate will be deeply committed to
geriatric care and passionate about using clinical dietetics to
improve health outcomes. As part of our team, you will have the
opportunity to contribute to our research initiatives and
educational programs, helping to shape the future of geriatric
care. Assess nutritional needs, diet restrictions, and current
health plans to develop and implement dietary-care plans and
provide nutritional counseling. Collaborate with healthcare
providers, staff, and researchers to coordinate and enhance
clinical dietary services. Advise patients and their families on
nutritional principles, dietary plans, diet modifications, and food
selection and preparation. Monitor and evaluate patient progress
towards meeting nutritional goals, revising plans as needed.
Participate in research studies and educational programs within
Hebrew SeniorLife and associated with Harvard Medical School. Keep
abreast of the latest research in nutritional science, particularly
in the area of geriatrics. Expertise in nutritional assessment and
planning Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to
work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team Proficiency in
dietary software and patient documentation programs Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k
Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist
(RDN) credential required Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist (LDN) in
the state of Massachusetts preferred
