Eaton Aerospace is currently seeking a 2nd -Shift Quality Auditor to join our team. This position is based at our Rumford, RI facility. - Shift Hours: 3PM-11PM - - Pay Rate: $21.66/hour + shift differential. This position comes with a competitive benefits package and retirement package! - Position Overview: - The Quality Auditor will work from drawings, routings, inspection method sheets and or verbal instructions using standard equipment such as micrometers, calipers, gauge blocks, dial indicators, bench comparators, pin/plug gauges, thread gauges, radius gauges and functional gauges. Additionally, this position requires the use of special purpose equipment such as optical flats, pressure test fixtures and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM). Use of personal computers to perform inspection task is also required. In this role, the Quality Auditor will -measure, layout, witness or setup and perform inspection, or otherwise determine acceptability, of components and/or assemblies at various stages of manufacture, in relation to established specification limits and in accordance with established techniques and procedures while under the direction of the Group Leader or Supervisor. When no established techniques or methods are available, such as but not limited to prototypes, the Quality Auditor and Supervisor will work together to establish the acceptable technique required. Additional responsibilities may include pressure testing, on a wide variety of products and related components. Specialized training and testing may be required in order to be qualified in certain aspects of dimensional or non-destructive testing requirements.   • Set up and perform bench inspection, layout inspection, in-process inspection, receiving inspection and final inspection as needed. Perform audits of certified operator inspectors as required.
  • Program and operate CMM's to perform receiving and or finish inspection on a variety of parts as directed.
  • Select techniques to be used as applicable to the requirements specified or to work to specific instructions in cases of critical requirements or difficult measurements.     • High School Diploma or GED from accredited institution
    • Minimum of 2 years quality auditor or precision inspector experience required
    • Must have basic knowledge and understanding on the use and operation of precision measuring instruments within a manufacturing environment.
    • Must have experience with mechanical drawing reading and knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
    • This position requires -use -of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. -'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. -

      • 3-5 years of quality auditor or precision inspector experience
      • Experienced in programing CMM's using Zeiss Calypso software
      • Current ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or Certified Quality Technician (CQT) Position Criteria: -
        • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills. -
        • Proven use of good judgement to perform and make decisions as to the sequence of inspection and selection of tools.
