Opioid Response NetworkPosition Title: Workgroup Project
CoordinatorLocation: Rhode Island / Remote -The American Academy of
Addiction Psychiatry (AAAP), based in East Providence Rhode Island,
is seeking a Workgroup Project Coordinator for the Opioid Response
Network (ORN) grant.
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration
(SAMHSA) awarded the State Opioid Response Tribal Opioid Response -
Technical Assistance grant to the American Academy of Addiction
Psychiatry to lead the initiative in collaboration with the
University of Missouri- Kansas City- Addiction Technology Transfer
Center, Columbia University Division on Substance Use Disorders,
and a large national coalition.
In response, a coalition of over 45 national organizations
representing over 2 million stakeholders, formed the Opioid
Response Network (ORN). This grant's goal is to provide training
and education to support the prevention, treatment, recovery, and
harm reduction of opioid and stimulant use disorders. ORN has
consultants in all 50 states and nine U.S. territories to respond
to local needs by providing educational resources and training at
no cost. These resources are available to states, communities,
organizations big and small, as well as individuals.
The Workgroup Project Coordinator will provide administrative
support to the project's population and topic focused workgroups.
-Major Responsibilities Include: - - - - - - - -Attend meetings of
the workgroups - - - - - - - -Provide administrative support
including scheduling meetings, providing agendas, taking notes and
summaries of each meeting - - - - - - - -Coordinate project staff
attendance at meetings with the workgroup co-chairs when
appropriate, including appropriate follow-up - - - - - - - -Track
requests that are relevant to the workgroup - - - - - - - -Organize
and keep current the workgroup's Google Drive ensuring that members
have access to the documents they need to support their work - - -
- - - - -Process workgroup members' invoices - - - - - - - -Liaison
between workgroup and ORN staff to execute and renew contracts for
workgroup members and consultants vetted by the workgroups - - - -
- - - -Collaborate with the Conference and Event Coordinator on
workgroup relevant conferences - - - - - - - -Travel to conferences
to exhibit at conferences that represent the populations the
workgroups serve - - - - - - - - -Provide support to the workgroup
on special projects - - - - - - - -Other duties as assigned
-Required Skills: - - - - - - - -Bachelor's degree - - - - - - -
-Excellent organizational skills - being able to track and manage
multiple projects at once - - - - - - - -Strong oral, and written
communication skills - - - - - - - -Experience in the substance use
field - - - - - - - -Proven interest in health equity issues - - -
- - - - -Understanding of the importance of cultural competence and
use of non-stigmatizing language - - - - - - - -Ability to work
accurately in a fast-paced, changing environment, with people
across different work environments - - - - - - - -Excellent
attention to detail, project management, and problem-solving skills
- - - - - - - -Proficiency and experience in Microsoft Office,
including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as G-Suite - - - -
- - - -Highly skilled with extensive experience in Excel - - - - -
- - -Willingness to be flexible, help on a team, and able to
function independently - - - - - - - -Ability to work well with
AAAP members, staff, and outside professionals -Salary Range:
