DescriptionThis role supports the fair banking oversight
function by developing and implementing data analytic techniques to
build business intelligence to understand and frame risks related
to fair and responsible banking. - The role has primary
responsibility for running existing, periodic fair lending data
analysis, developing an analytics program to evaluate unfair,
deceptive, or abusive practices across consumer products offered by
the bank to keep pace with the current regulatory and industry
expectations, and expanding analytics, visualizations, and trending
as needed to effectively identify risk. - Additional
responsibilities include engaging appropriate stakeholders in
assigned business lines and applicable risk functions to produce
expected deliverables and present analytical results. - - - The
duties of this position include but are not limited to:
- - -Collect, organize and prepare data to be used in
modeling/data analysis efforts
- Develop, implement, and enhance statistical models/analyses
using various techniques e.g. exploratory data analysis,
regression, bootstrapping, trees, cluster analysis, survival
analysis, as well as traditional statistics methodologies and new
techniques from computational statistics and data mining. -
Consider where advanced technologies and artificial intelligence
can be used to monitor risks. You will have the opportunity to
innovate, explore, and build solutions to identify and monitor fair
banking risks.
- Provide insight into leading analytic practices, design and
lead iterative learning and development cycles, and ultimately
produce new and creative analytics.
- Collaborate with the first and second lines of defense on both
development efforts and usage of model output. - Interface with
business sponsors as data and analytics solutions are deployed;
validate solution and connect outputs of use cases with those
responsible for taking action
- Present analytical findings in a variety of formats (reports,
PPT, graphs, figures and tables), formulating recommendations, and
effectively presenting the results to non-analytic audiences
- Keep current on fair banking risk industry direction, trends,
and future capabilities with respect to data analysis.
Qualifications Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data analysis in financial
-services
- Experience with distributed database systems, such as SQL and
Oracle, SAS and Python programming languages, and visualization
tools such as Tableau
- Computer proficiency, specifically MS Office (Word, Excel,
Access, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Must be self-starter with the ability to work independently and
deliver efficient, accurate results.
- Team player who can manage to time sensitive deliverables.
Education and Certifications:
- Master's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data
Science, or Computer Science, or related field
- Ph.D. in a similar field a plus Hours and Work Schedule: 3 days
