DescriptionGeneral Summary:Vertex is an established, innovative

diseases.Software engineers in our Data and Knowledge Management
team focus on building complex full stack web applications, API's
and microservices that support research, clinical and business
operations at Vertex. We are passionate about delivering elastic,
scalable, and highly available serverless solutions utilizing the
latest cloud technologies. We are responsible for maintaining and
developing a robust API environment, design system and serve a
leadership role in defining modern software development standards.
We write our own Python, Typescript and JavaScript, maintain our
CI/CD pipelines leveraging SAM, CloudFormation, Git and much more!
Additionally, we work with our diverse partners in an agile
environment.How you will make a differenceDesign, build and
maintain cloud hosted REST APIs, serverless applications and
microservices. The code you write will empower scientists working
on innovative treatments in genomics, biology, and chemistry. You
will work with your team to "fail fast" and continuously release
improvements safely and efficiently.Mentor the engineering team at
large related to best practices, code standardization and reuse.
Additionally, you will participate in code reviews providing
feedback to your colleagues.Engage with senior business leaders to
develop innovative software solutions that drive research at
Vertex.Contribute to long term strategic vision of the Software
Engineering team.Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Hybrid: work remotely up to two days per week; or select
2. On-Site: work five days per week on-site with ad hoc
flexibility.Note: The Flex status for this position is subject to
Vertex's Policy on Flex @ Vertex Program and may be changed at any
time.
